In September 2010 we delivered 0 support sessions, despite an encouraging July and August. When the snow came in December we delivered a dozen or so sessions, with even more in January and February. When the snow melted the demand did not, albeit April was pretty much a write off with more public holidays and school holidays than you could shake a stick at. I reflect on all of this as this September we will top 20 sessions. Demand is high for the support and satisfaction levels are really encouraging on all aspects of the project, the facilitated session, the action plans and the training grant. There is still time if you know some charity/community group or social enterprise that needs a helping hand.

The Tartan Army Children's Charity took part in a session on 17th May. The charity raises funds to support organisations that work with disadvantage children in Scotland and in the countries where our national football team play. They have grown each year and run the now very successful Kilt Walk and a fundraising gala dinner. Sus it Out gave them a much need opportunity to reflect on that success and identifies ways in which they can improve in future.
Michael was out and about this week. Strathaven Rugby Club joined the group of community sports clubs that have had Sus it Out sessions. Clubs like theirs all have the potential to sharpen their game. Reducing energy consumption, travel, recruiting new supporters & members as well as being sharper with their money....
Iain was over in Paisley at the Glenburn Credit Union delivering a session. The credit union provides a valuable service, providing a means for local people to save and borrow where otherwise it may be difficult. They recognise that there are opportunities to green up their activities and strengthen their key skills to deliver an even better local service.
