Moving forward with Sus it Out
During your Sus it Out session you identified one or more principles of sustainable development that are upheld by the policies and practices of your group. You also learned that the six core principles of sustainable development are linked to each other and no one can claim to be sustainable unless all the principles are reflected in the way they think and act.
Towards the end of the session you identified a principle that cannot be evidenced by your group and asked 'what do we need to do to make this principle true for our group?' This action is the pledge you have made for the coming year.
Where do we go from here?
In this part of the site you will find gateways to further information to each of the six principles of sustainable development. Through each gateway you will find activities and information to help your group develop a fuller idea of what this principle might mean for them. Remember, these gateways do not lead to closed rooms; whichever gateway you enter you will find yourselves being directed to other aspects of sustainability to enable you to understand how they are all linked to each other.
